Lisbon is a study in contrasts: from the beauty of its ocean vistas and rolling hills, ancient architecture and sweeping urban parks, to the decay of its many blighted neighborhoods and prodigious graffiti, often found even on gorgeous homes and heritage buildings. But whatever it is, it remains a dramatic, beautiful, and unforgettable city. Always the people were kind, the food marvelous, the activities plentiful, with far too much to see and enjoy to accomplish in one visit. Lisbon is a place to return to, to dig deeper each time into its myriad mysteries and marvels. For now, these are my most salient visual stories.
